MEETINGS

Every month the chapter hosts a wine tasting event presented by someone knowledgeable about wine. Members get to taste and rate the wine based on a variety of criteria. Below you'll see an overview of our meetings and scores and prices of each of the wines that were tasted.

Past Meetings

November 16, 2025 -

On November 16, 2025, the North Wake (NC) Chapter featured a Holiday Wine Pairing featuring Nate Mosser from the Winestore in Raleigh, with 38 members and guests attending.

October 26, 2025 - Sardinia Wines

On Sunday, October 26th, the North Wake (NC) Chapter of the AWS held a meeting and tasting at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest with 42 members and guests attending.

September 28, 2025 - Lynch Creek Farm - Cancelled (Met at Jay and Sally's Home)

On September 28, 2025, we went with Plan B and hosted 11 members of the North Wake Chapter at the home of Sally Albrecht and Jay Althouse.

August 24, 2025 - PART II: Wines from Australia

On August 24, 2025, the North Wake (NC) Chapter held a meeting and tasting at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest with 35 members and guests attending.

July 27, 2025 - National Tasting Project - Part 1

On July 27, 2025, the North Wake AWS Chapter hosted 41 chapter members and guests.

June 22, 2025 - Wines of Portugal

On June 22, 2025, the North Wake (NC) Chapter held a tasting at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest with 40 AWS members and guests attending.

May 18, 2025 - A Vertical Wine Tasting - Old World Vs. New World

On May 18, 2025, the North Wake chapter member Greg Hedrick presented an excellent session to 32 Chapter Members and guests.

April 27, 2025 - Wine Spectator Value Wines

On April 27, 2025, the North Wake Chapter held a tasting at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest, with 36 attendees.

March 23, 2025 - A World of Reds

On March 23, 2025, the North Wake NC Chapter held a tasting for 36 members and guests on March 23, 2025, at Local 919 Beer & Wine in North Raleigh.

February 23, 2025 - Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyards

On February 23, 2025, the North Wake (NC) Chapter held a meeting and tasting at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest with 33 members and guests attending.

January 26. 2025 - Wines of Tuscany

On Sunday, January 26, 2024, the North Wake Chapter of the AWS hosted its first tasting of the year at Heritage View Clubhouse in Wake Forest with 40 attendees.

December 7, 2024 - Holiday Luncheon

On Saturday, December 7, 2024 we held our annual AWS Holiday Brunch at Encore Ristorante in Wakefield.
